Drum Devon provides drumming workshops in a whole variety of settings in including those to support the promotion of personal and social wellbeing. For 3 years Drum Devon worked in partnership with the Devon Recovery Learning Community in order promote positive wellbeing through drumming.

Come and lose yourself in rhythm on this 6 week djembe rhythms course at Health Source, Totnes. Book into all 6 sessions or drop in whenever you can.

This lively drumming group with have you grooving in no time at all. During the 6 weeks we will delve into an array of authentic West African djembe rhythms. Learn technique, get in the groove and let the rhythm take you away.
These sessions are open to all, whether you're a seasoned drummer or a complete beginner. Everyone can play!
Teignbridge Samba

Be part of something AMAZING and join Teignbridge's very own community samba band!
During this 6 week course, you'll get to play a whole range of instruments including caixa, repinique, surdo, agogo bells and djembe.
We play a mixture of Brazilian Samba as well as some West African rhythms taking the group back to the roots of the samba rhythms.
No experience necessary, everyone is invited to come and play!
Activities 115
I am delighted to be returning to Activities 115 in Kingsbridge to run these sessions for adults with learning disabilities.
Throughout the sessions we will be learning world rhythms and exploring a variety of different drums and techniques.
The sessions include rhythm games and are lots of fun and accessible to everyone - you don't need to have ever drummed before to join in.
Drumming is brilliant for helping to improve coordination and memory, learning new skills, improving wellbeing, boosting confidence, exploring creativity and having lots of fun in a relaxed environment.
These sessions run as uniqiue taster sessions whereby you will get to explore a specific rhythm and learn how different drum and percussion parts fit together to create a multilayered rhythmic montage. They're an ideal way to find out what it is all about. You'll also get access to a whole range of resources such as videos, notation as well as a recording of your workshop!
This series introduces participants to the wonderfully diverse world of drumming from all around the world.
Each session we will explore a different rhythm. Starting from scratch makes these sessions extremely accessible to all. See all the sessions below.
