Mon 19th Feb - Devon Youth Drum Ensemble

Devon Youth Drum Ensemble is returning this February! For ages 7 - 15. Come and join us playing rhythms from around the world - BIG beats and lots of fun. Parents/Carers are welcome to stay and play (no extra cost!)


6 week course meeting every Monday, 17:55 - 18:55 at the Mayfield College, Paignton. Come to one or all the sessions!

Come and explore a world of rhythm on this 6 week course. These lively workshops are full of fun and open to all.


These sessions run every Monday evening during term time. Within each block we'll explore one new piece and revist and embellish our classic rhythms.

Tues 20th Feb - Teignmouth Sessions

Come and join this fantastic course of 6 workshops at the historic Old Riviera Cinema, Teignmouth. These sessions are open to all abilities from more experienced to complete beginners.


Starting in January, we'll focus on two sets of rhythms as well as revist some past classics. We'll introduce technique and develop more complex patterns as you become more confident.

Tues 20th Feb - Rhythms for Recovery, Totnes

Come and join us on this FREE 5 week course of blissful drumming in the Bridgetown Community Hall, Totnes! 

Provided by the Devon Recovery Learning Community, this course is absolutely FREE to attend. The course is funded by the the Devon Partnership NHS Trust in order to promote positive wellbeing

These courses are for those who have experience of mental health difficulties including their families, friends and professionals who work with them.

Weds 21st Feb - Activities 115, Kingsbridge

I’m super excited to be returning to Activities 115 in Kingsbridge for another 6 week course of drumming! We had so much fun last time playing a whole range of drums and percussion, including West African Djembes and Brazilian Samba drums.


This 6 week course is FREE to attend for adults with learning difficulties and their support/family member.

Starting on the 21st Feb, we will meet every week between 14:30 - 16:00. No experience necessary & lots of fun to be had!

Sat 9th March Paignton Library Drumming

Come and join us for a fabulous, family drumming session at Paignton Library this March. Embark on a rhythmical adventure and experience the enchanting world of African drums and percussion.

These sessions are so much fun! With no experience necessary, you'll be playing uplifting, infectious rhythms in no time and learn about cultural context and the impact rhythms have on individuals and communities. Join us for an unforgettable experience for the whole family.

Join James from Drum Devon Experience the Beat of Africa with your family at St Thomas’s new library location at Emmanuel Hall. This workshop is suitable for ages 8 -100, embark on a rhythmical adventure and experience the enchanting world of African drums and percussion. With no experience necessary, you’ll be playing uplifting, infectious rhythms in no time and learn about cultural context and the impact rhythms have on individuals and communities.

Weds 20th March - Dartmoor Reach Alpaca Farm.

Looking forward to being back at the Alpaca Farm in the in the amazing Love Yoga Tree studio where we'll be celebrating the return of spring and sunner days.

During this session we'll explore the sounds of the Djembe and Dun Dun bass drums and put together an uplifting traditional West African rhythm. You don't need any experience to join, this session is open to all!
