Kingsbridge World Rhythms Session

Come and join our fabulous group of drummers at Kingsbridge School. Following on from our awesome samba performance at the amazing Kingsbridge Nature Festival organised by Kingsbridge Climate Action, we are opening this group up to everyone to come on a rhythmical adventure. Learn to play uplifting world rhythms from West Africa and Brazil and become part of a super-friendly group of drummers. No experience necessary - drums provided - £10 per session including access to a whole range of digital resources.

We have two taster sessions this July on the 3rd & 17th July with the intention of opening up regular sessions from September.

Experience a West African Djembe Workshop at Deer Wood!

Come and immerse yourself in the beats of West Africa amidst the beautiful surroundings of Deer Wood. Develop your technique and uncover how intricate rhythmic phrases blend to create a rich, mesmerising tapestry of sound. Together, we'll explore authentic traditional rhythms and create an uplifting and energising vibe. All abilities are welcome including complete beginners and more experienced players.

19th July - Exmouth Festival Opening Parade

We're really excited to be joining our friends at Tonic Creatives to create an out of this world, space themed parade! Come and join us on this for an out of this world experience as we open the festival in style.

Come and get involved, Weird Sticks and Tonic Creative are running some family friendly workshops where you can create your own space creatures to bring to the parade. More details below...

7th August - Marldon Apple Pie Sessions

The Marldon Apple Pie drumming sessions are back once again this summer! Throughout August, we will be running weekly drumming sessions where you'll have the opportunity to be part of an upbeat, lively drumming group. The sessions start on the 7th August and run for 5 weeks until the 4th September with an optional performance at the fabulous Marldon Apple Pie Fair on the 7th September!
