Explore the joy of West African drumming together in our family-friendly workshop. This hands-on session promises fun, laughter, and plenty of beats to groove to. Through rhythm games and call and response, we will develop the most infectious groove between us.
No experience necessary – just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to make music memories with your loved ones.

Ever wanted to learn to play the Djembe drum? Now is your opportunity to discover the wonderful world of West African drumming. The session is hosted by James Carr who has over 25 years experience playing drums and percussion as well as more than 20 years teaching experience. In the session you will learn to play authentic West African djembe patterns, develop technique and together we will create an almighty sound. The sessions are aimed at adults and are open to all whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced player. All sessions come with access to digital resources and a recording of our final piece. Big beats, Big breaks and lots of laughs. Come and have some fun with us!

I am delighted to be running drummign workshops for adults with learning disabilities at Activities 115, Kingsbride.
Throughout the sessions we will be learning world rhythms and exploring a variety of different drums and techniques.
The sessions include rhythm games and are lots of fun and accessible to everyone - you don't need to have ever drummed before to join in.
Drumming is brilliant for helping to improve coordination and memory, learning new skills, improving wellbeing, boosting confidence, exploring creativity and having lots of fun in a relaxed environment.
